For its 14th annual Choral Pilgrimage The Sixteen and Harry Christophers revisit the golden age of Renaissance polyphony with
‘The Voice of the Turtle Dove’, a stunning programme of music by English composers John Sheppard, Richard Davy and William Mundy.
Britain’s glorious religious buildings will once again provide the perfect setting to experience the magical sonorities of works such as Mundy’s Vox Patris and Sheppard’s sublime Gaude, Gaude. Audiences are assured a particular treat on the Bristol leg of The Sixteen’s pilgrimage given Clifton Cathedral’s perfect acoustic and uninterrupted lines of sight from all corners of the building.
