Celebrating 250 years since his birth, hear Beethoven’s most famous and much loved solo piano piece at the heart of this expressive and moving programme, paired with Chopin’s Nocturne, thought to be inspired by the Moonlight Sonata.
Brimming with virtuosic energy the programme also includes Nielsen’s diverse and eclectic Suite, a work of contrapuntal elegance and ingenuity, and Berkeley’s Five Short Pieces, full of wit, vitality and charm.
