The Lesley Lee Memorial Lecture:
What does Clifton Cathedral mean?
Tuesday 10 June 2025
11.30am
The James Room,
Clifton Cathedral

Join Keith Donoghue, Clifton Cathedral choir member and long-time cathedral enthusiast, for the second Lesley Lee Memorial Lecture, where he unpacks the history and significance of one of Bristol's most iconic architectural landmarks.

With his characteristic enthusiasm and colourful personality, Keith takes you on a journey through the cathedral's design, from its origins in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council to the cultural shifts of the 1960s that influenced it. Through a guided walk, Keith will illuminate the cathedral’s striking glasswork, art, and architecture, offering a fresh perspective on its place in the community and its deeper meaning for those who experience it today.
